Do you love walking and the Bible?

Did you know that Bible Society was founded because of a walk? Over 200 years ago, 15-year-old Mary Jones trekked 26 miles across the rugged terrain of North Wales to buy a Bible in her own language. Her story inspired our founders

You too can bring the transformative power of the Bible to people today by taking on a walking challenge and raising money for Bible Society.

Once you’ve signed up, we’ll be in touch with some tips to help with your fundraising and encourage you along the way!  Setting up a Bike for Bibles fundraiser is easy. Here are 3 easy steps to get you started:

Decide on your distance, your route and your date(s) and invite some friends or your church small group to join you.

Set up your fundraising page on JustGiving. You can set a target for how much you want to raise, tell everyone how far you’re walking and why you want to share the Bible.

Share your fundraising page with your friends and family on social media, WhatsApp, email, the church newsletter, and tell as many people as you can.

Get walking!

Whether you walk five miles or fifty, every step counts. Every mile that you cover and every pound that you raise will enable someone to encounter the Bible for themselves.

So, why not set out on a hike with a few friends or team up with people from your church or youth group?

We’re so excited about the difference you’ll make in the lives of people longing for a Bible of their own.
